This small in-ground monument is dedicated to the Imperial Japanese Navy's 5th Hospital Corps, at the South Pacific Memorial Peace Park in Yigo, Guam. This site is located at the former Mataguac Hill Command Post, where the last organized Japanese resistance on Guam in the Second World War ended on August 10, 1944. The inscription reads:

Comfort

For the Fifth Naval Hospital War Veteran

Comrades of the bereaved family

All former military doctors and medical staff

A stone, roughly two feet by one, set into the ground. Japanese kanji characters present can be translated to "Comfort for the Fifth Naval Hospital War Veteran from comrades of the bereaved family and all former military doctors and medical staff."
