Greetings all! Thanks to your patronage we have surpassed 244 visitors to the website, 140 Bluesky followers, and 140 Facebook followers. r/PacificHistoryGuide has been launched on Reddit, and I'll soon start pushing out this website to folks looking for information on the various military subreddits.

This summer's schedule is quickly filling up. Next month I'll give a tour to naval sites around Liberty Station in San Diego, followed by a call-in to WW2TV in June to commemorate the invasion of Saipan, and all along I'm working on adding ever more locations and information to the website.

Tomorrow, I will be giving a brief talk on the sinking of the Tsushima Maru in August 1944, comparing the various ethical dilemmas that surround this international tragedy. I'll post that here, so keep an eye out!

Here's the various updates made around the PHG sphere over the last week and a half:

8 April 2025

14 April 2025

15 April 2025

17 April 2025

  • Created r/PacificHistoryGuide

  • Added four books to reading list, all focused on Imperial Japanese Navy: Requiem for Battleship Yamato, Battleship Musashi, IJN tactics and technology, and combined fleet operations 1942-43

See you all soon!
